[News] Park Myungsoo and G-Dragon’s ‘Having an Affair’ with Park Bom is finally revealed

After the broadcast of Park Myungsoo and G-Dragon’s ‘Having an Affair’, it is currently rising up on the real search engines and is giving off the smell of a hit.

On the episode of MBC variety show, ‘Infinite Challenge’, that broadcasted on July 2nd, the veil on the ‘West Coast Highway Music Festival’ was lifted finally. This is the third music event following up after the 2007 ‘Riverside Expressway Music Festival’, and the 2009 ‘Olympic Street Duet Music Festival’.

Last month on the 9th at 8PM, the ‘West Coast Highway Music Festival’ took place in Choongnam, they performed the piece that they had worked on in private, ‘Having an Affair’, as the third performers of that day.

‘Having an Affair’ is a song that is accentuated by a strong electronic sound with its simplicity and catchiness as its most powerful trait. Aside from G-Dragon, YG Entertainment’s representative producer, Teddy also participated in the writing and production of the song.

The introduction of the song, which sounded similar to Park Myungsoo’s hit song, ‘Ta La La’ fits well with the whole song, and the choreography that goes to the upbeat rhythm as expected was quite unique.

There was another highlight to the performance of ‘Having an Affair’. 2NE1′s Park Bom made a surprise appearance as a secret weapon. Park Bom, who said later “(G.D) said that it was a secret so I couldn’t even go to the washroom.”, sang during the chorus, and came out from back stage surprising everyone. She showed off her stunning singing skills as usual.

Moreover, after the performance ended, when MC Yoo Jaesuk asked her, “What place do you think you’ll get?”, she replied, “I think we’ll get first place.” After hearing that, Park Myungsoo who stood next to her asked, “Well then who do you think will be first?” At this strange remark, the audience burst into laughter. (T/N: First place and second place sound very similar in Korean. Myungsoo thought Bom said she thinks that they’re going to win second place so he asked who she thinks will win first. But Bom had in fact said first place)

Meanwhile, the “West Coast Highway Music Festival” sound track is currently being sold in the MBC T-Shop. The profits will go to underprivileged citizens.

Finally, nearly every single has ranked high on the charts, with ‘I Had an Affair’ topping most music charts. In fact, Park Bom’s Melon winning streak continues. Almost instantly ‘I Had an Affair’ leapt passed well-received songs from 2NE1 and T-ara to take root at #1. On the July 2nd the single hit the roof twice.

Today, July 3, 2011KST the song has already hit the roof what looks like eight times. It is currently on spent 9 hours “going over Melon’s roof.” It looks like G-Dragon’s words have come true once again. “Any song with Bom’s voice will become a hit.”
